Life Drawing Class, -The Sunday morning class has been cancelled and replaced with a first Thursday evening class. Details coming soon.
, Mondays, beginning Sept. 17, 7-9 P.M. 5 weeks, $150/nonmember, $130/member. This class is designed to give students a solid foundation in the fundamentals of frawing. Students will develop the skills to render a form 3-dimensionally. Observational techniques, composition, line, and shadow will be explored as students engage in a variety of exercises, using still life objects and eventually the model.
This class is perfect for beginners with little or no experience drawing, and a good refresher course for the artist who wants to reinforce their skills.

The Art of the Portrait, Tuesdays, beginning Sept. 18, 7-9 P.M. 5 weeks, $150/nonmember, $130/member . Students will develop the technical and interpretive skills to help them render the human face. We will cover technical aspects such as posing the model, lighting, background, composition, proportion, and shading. Interpretive aspects of mood, gesture, expression, and abstraction will also be covered.

Friendly Art Crit, Sundays, 3-4:30 P.M. Drop in, $10/nonmembers, $8/members. Come by the gallery and show us the latest piece you’ve been working on. The crit will be moderated for optimal productivity. This is a great opportunity to get feedback on your work from people in the arts community. Share ideas, opinions, encouragement, and constructive criticism on other artists’ work. Connect with new people in the arts community.

Seat Weaving Classes
First-time and experienced caners will enjoy these workshops. Bring your own project, and learn by doing. Students work at their own pace with expert individualized instruction. We teach hand cane, fibre rush, reed splints, shaker tape, wide binding, adn modern Danish seating.
Students may also design their own schedule. Classes run most Wednesdays (we miss a few in July and August) and you may take them all at once or spread them out. You must enroll at least 24 hours in advance for this class.
There is a one-time registration fee of $12. Classes are $20 for each two hour class. Pay $120 for six classes and we’ll wave the registration fee.
